We are building up the bank around the pond this month, to prevent further erosion. Everyone loves feeding the fish and ducks and we want to continue improving the area. This is a great attraction for all to enjoy! Please instruct kids not to throw rocks & sticks in the pond, they clog the overflow.
* PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE & SLOW DOWN - OUR ROADS GET VERY DUSTY!!!!
* DUMPSTERS ~ Please don't leave trash outside the dumpsters - if it doesn't fit inside - take to the rolloff container in the Village. RECYCLE BINS are also available in the Village.
Black bears come out of hibernation around April 1st. They can be cinnamon or tan in color, as we have seen here in CCW. Mom gives birth in January during her winter sleep. They tend to be timid & will not attack people (except moms protecting her cubs). After a long winter; their only interest is finding food, consisting of tree bark, grass, bird eggs, fruit, berries & fish. Their average weight is 250 lbs. Enjoy them from a distance.
